Annual Adult Appreciation Dinner

Meet and Greet with Fr. Jacob Gordon

Sunday, February 10th 2019

This year’s appreciation dinner will also serve as a Meet and Greet with Fr. Jacob Gordon. All adult members of our parish are invited to join together for a chance to relax, socialize, and share our time together.  This is an excellent opportunity to get to know other members of our parish as well as Fr. Jacob.  If you are a newer member of our parish or have never attended the dinner, we would very much enjoy getting to know you as well!

The occasion is a casual atmosphere in the church basement with appetizers and cocktails served at 5:00 pm and dinner at 6:00 pm.  Please plan on bringing a dish to share and the meat for dinner will be provided by St. Mike’s.

There are sign-up sheets located at both church entrances.  Please sign up if you plan to attend, this will help us determine the amount of meat to provide for the dinner.

Hope to see you there!!

Snow Removal

A Sign-Up sheet is in the back of church. If you are available and willing, your efforts would be greatly appreciated!

The St. Michael’s Ridge Rosary and Altar Society will have their next meeting on Wednesday,

February 27, 2019. The meeting will be held in the church basement following the 7:00 pm Mass.

We will be finalizing plans for the upcoming Craft Show which will be held at the K of C Hall in March. All the ladies of the Parish are invited to attend.

Presenting:
Adult Lenten Bible Study

Mary: A Biblical Walk with the Blessed Mother
by Edward Sri

With this study, we will learn Mary's unique role in God's Kingdom and in our lives.

Why is Mary so Important to Us?
As Catholics, we have a profound reverence for the Blessed Mother.
We turn to her in prayer, in the Mass, in the Rosary, and in Marian devotions.
We honor her with special feasts celebrating the significant events in her life.
We place images of her in our churches and homes.

The better we know Mary, the better we will know her Son.
Mary: A Biblical Walk with the Blessed Mother is filmed on location in the Holy Land.

This study will place you in the midst of the powerful drama of her
earthly life, taking you through her joys...and her sorrows. You will
learn how she works in our lives today, drawing us ever closer to her
Divine Son. May we make Mary a part of our daily life and become more like Christ.

The starting date for the beginning of this Bible study will be February 17.
This is pre-Lent and will have 8 sessions.
The time will be 6:30pm Sunday. We have learned, from experience, of last
year’s study, to cut session time to approximately 60 minutes.
Let us know if you plan to attend or if there is a preference for a
different day of week or time of day.
