We Need Your Help Soon!

St. Michael's Ridge Catholic Church is sponsoring a Donation Drive along with the

Easter Seals of Sylvania, Ohio. All proceeds will benefit the St. Michael's youth group mission trip to Athens, Ohio in July

"Fill the Truck" Fundraiser:

May 7th – 11th, 2017

May 7th starting at noon - 7:00 pm in the church basement

May 8th, 9th, 10th, beginning at 8 am -7:00 pm in the truck

May 11th 8 am till 3:00 pm in the truck

 

All Cloth items will be accepted:

Clothing, comforters, blankets, towels, sheets, shoes, purses, pillows, stuffed animals, indoor and outdoor chair pads, and cloth bags. Even stained and torn items will be accepted. Please bring them in a bag, remove hangers. Also suggested items such as toys, picture frames, pots and pans, dishes, DVDs, CDs, clocks, or any other "nick-knacks", but no furniture and no books. These items can be placed in boxes or bags.

 

Assorted clothing & cloth donations as well as other household items will be distributed to the needy in counties around Northern Ohio. Items will also be sold to Savers through Easter Seals.

 

Matthew 25:40 Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."

2017 Century Farm Award Applications Available

Catholic Charities is now accepting applications for Century Farm Awards. This award designation honors Catholic families who have maintained a farm or homestead within their family for at least 100 years, with an emphasis on well-preserved working farms.

Applicants will be asked to submit a registration form, copies of old deeds, and pictures to support claims. The information submitted must show family residence and ownership of a farm for at least 100 years. Applications should be submitted no later than May 31, 2017.

A Mass honoring award recipients will be celebrated by Bishop Daniel E. Thomas at St. Paul the Apostle Parish in Norwalk, OH, at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2017.

MODERN DAY MIRACLE: Please join us  May 23 at 7 pm after 6:30 pm Mass at St Johns  Defiance to listen to Jake and Cathy Reineck with their daughter Erica to speak of how miracles still happen today especially with their daughter Cathy.

They will also explain what Traumatic Brain Injury is and its affects.
