Memorandum of Understanding for Expense Splitting

Thank You for your generous response to the collection for the Society for the Propagation of the Faith last weekend on World Mission Sunday. As we conclude this extraordinary missionary month later this week, Pope Francis encourages us to reflect on how we can commit ourselves to the practice of missionary charity all year round (

Thank You – Thank You – Thank You

A hearty Thanks to the 7th through 12th grade CCD students and all who were involved with our Youth Group Breakfast this past Sunday.

What a better way to start the day than with a prayer and a delicious meal!!

Sines Excavating fixed a drain tile that was plugged up in between the church and the drain pit. This problem was discovered during the Festival.

Thank You to Sines Excavating!!

Father Stites would like to thank all the youth who made or sent cards
while he was hospitalized.  Thank you to all others who sent cards and
well wishes for good health.  And thank you for all the many prayers that
were directed for my healing and recovery.  All were greatly appreciated
and I am on the mend and improving in health!  Thank you and God Bless You!

The St. Michael's Rosary and Altar Society ladies are trying to update our Prayer Chain Network list of names. Our current list was last updated in 2014. Since that time many of our parishioners have cancelled their landline phone service and only use cell phones. We need to update this information so that callers can get the messages out to the network members quickly. If you are currently on the network list please sign the sheet at the church entrances with any new information that we need to include on the new list. We need to know your name and the phone number that you would like to be notified at. If you are not a member but would like to be on the network please sign the list marking NEW beside your name and phone number. Our Prayer Chain Network is a wonderful way of supporting our parish family and friends. Thank you for your cooperation.

The St. Vincent De Paul Society of Defiance County seeks, in the spirit of justice, mercy and charity, to provide assistance to those less fortunate.  Volunteers from St Mary’s and St. John’s meet clients once a week to help them avoid eviction from their homes, disconnection of heat, water and electricity, and basic needs of life.  Most of us take these basic needs for granted, but they are a constant concern for many people in our county.  We also inform them about other agencies in Defiance County that offer classes on finances, culture, mental and spirit benefits so that they can gain stability and make a meaningful difference for themselves and their families.  Only thru contributions from individuals and business are we able to continue this ministry to help serve the less fortunate.  Your kind and generous giving is vital to our success in helping others in need.  If you choose to make a financial donation, you can make a check out payable to:  ST VINCENT DEPAUL SOCIETY and place in the offertory collection any Sunday.  Parish personnel will make sure checks are forwarded to St Vincent DePaul office at the St. Mary Parish Center in Defiance.

Thank you to the many parishioners who have donated to SVDP in the past.  Currently we have volunteers from St. Mary’s and St. John’s meeting with clients.  If you are interested in learning more about this ministry call 419-782-2776
